Meet Cathie

Apprenticing at the prestigious Alan Herdman Pilates Studio of London, Cathleen returned to the USA to develop and coordinate Pilates programs at the Rancho la Puerta, The Golden Door Spa, the Santa Barbara Athletic Club and the Honolulu Athletic Club. Cathleen is featured in over 10 instructional DVD’s, and author of Morning Pilates Workouts. Find her “live” on the website: www.pilatesanytime.com.

Cathleen was the first presenter to introduce Pilates to the fitness audience in 1994 at the World IDEA Convention in Las Vegas and continues to work with them and present now.  Additionally, she has presented for the Pilates Method Alliance at their annual convention and is associated with the Asia Fitness Conference in Bangkok and Telluride WOW in Telluride, Colorado..

Facilitating instructor training courses since 1993, her courses are often attended by already certified instructors who are excited to discover the depth of information she has to offer.

Extensively certified, her credentials include ACE, ACSM, Alan Herdman, Physicalmind, Long Beach Dance, PMA, Ashtanga Yoga Center/Encinitas, Erich Schiffman, GYROKINESIS®, GYROTONIC®GYROTONIC® Level 2 training exclusively taught by Juliu Horvath. Cathleen has completed the GYROTONIC FOR GOLF®, GYROTONIC FOR SHOULDER®, GYROTONIC FOR HIP & PELVIS®, & GYROTONIC for HIP REPLACEMENT®. All rehabilitative oriented workshops.

    You not only “retained the information” with your notes Cathie, you reverse engineered the exercises for those of us who could never learn from a manual on the first go. You were so important to me and my teaching in very formative years of it. I’ve never been able to match your ability to break exercises down as calmly and effectively as you do on my own. I did learn how to look at the movement and the person to better assess what to do next from you and I am certain I use the words you gave me 1994/5(?)-1997 every time I teach. You are 4 stars in my world every time! Thank you. Great interview!
