Advanced Mat Circuit is a full body Pilates workout. It’s a great way to add variety and intensity to your workouts. Using sets of exercises that compliment each other allows participants to improve their skills, burn a ton of calories, and have a blast without a ton of new exercises to do or learn. Each of the 4 sets of exercises, and each set will be completed 3 times in the workout. The exercises were selected and placed in order so that you are working the opposite muscles or movement patterns and moving in all planes in each set. All muscle groups are worked during this circuit.
Programming Tips: Circuits are a great way to get a lot of exercises performed in a relatively short amount of time. I also like doing circuits because you can do 4 or 5 reps of an exercise and then come back to that same exercise later after an active recovery of the muscles worked if you program the workout that way.
